They have no chemicals and are paraffin and petroleum-free. The bowls are made from Jacaranda wood which is known to be one of the most beautiful woods in the world. I purchase these beautiful bowls from a small shop in Eastern Kenya, a non-for-profit that supports the elderly women of the village.
